My paintings celebrate the body in all its discomfort.

Moriah Faith

Moriah Faith is an expressive figurative painter from Black Forest, CO, currently working out of Boston. She began painting to cope and express her experiences after being diagnosed with a rare and painful chronic gastrointestinal illness. She actively shows and sells her art both locally and internationally. Most notably, in 2022, she was named the Grand Prize Winner of the Kennedy Center’s National Young Emerging Artists competition for her self portrait, “Tough Love.” She works as a studio assistant and mentor for developmentally disabled individuals and teaches private lessons and workshops remotely from her home studio in Boston, MA.

I have taken these moments when I wanted to be small, and have instead made them large. I have painted my invisible illness into visibility.
